Moody Modern
Tearing down the confining kitchen walls, relocating the staircase and an addition of a laundry room combined the living and dining areas into one open great room. From the moment you now enter this newly remodeled San Jose Home, you are greeted with Light pouring in from every direction. Large black framed windows and a nearly full wall panoramic door, allows expansive views of the outdoors and serves as a seamless extension of the home's great room. Grand vaulted ceilings, highlighting the dramatic floating staircase, levitating wood treads and glass railing brings drama and dimension creating modern centerpiece.
In this island inspired space, moody black cabinets and mixed blue and greens subway tile backsplash wraps around the entire kitchen. To break up the dark cabinets, floating shelves are positioned between the windows to maintain a light and airy look and custom made teal cabinet pulls. A tall appliance caddy and a massive island with seating for 6 prove this custom kitchen is built for entertaining.
Blue hues and modernity continue into the reconfigured hall bathroom. Designed as a wet room features a freestanding soaking tub, floating vanity and walk in curbless shower. A glass panel opens the room to natural light while the full tiled wall exudes luxury.
Working through our In-House design process May Construction worked hand in hand with these homeowners though thoughtful design and personal touches we not only elevated their home but enhanced their daily life.
