Los Altos Whole House Remodel

Colonial Revival

This lovely colonial home was constructed in 1920, the homeowners wanted a home to reflect their modern needs and desires while restoring and maintaining the historical nature of this heritage home.

Attention was paid to the original period details on the exterior, but inside was transformed into a modern utopia.

Upon entering you are graced with a stunning sunroom, where streams of light radiate warmth into the grand entry. New white oak staircase wrapped with black iron is the first thing eyes gravitate towards. A dining room, alighted with new blown glass lights across from the spacious yet cozy living room, decorated with a marbled floor to ceiling fireplace.

A transformed kitchen boasts crisp white shaker cabinets, an island topped with Cambria Britannica Quartz brings in a modern touch. Two sinks ensure that any cooking prep will be a breeze.

Across from the stark kitchen a newly remodeled laundry room, complete with a rinse sink and quartz countertop allowing for plenty of folding room. A transformed basement can now be used as a game room, storage area, or teenage hang out, the uses for this space are now endless.

Upstairs the sophisticated master suite was made more spacious by removing an old fireplace. The master bath is now home to a large walk-in solid surface wrapped shower, heated floors, a wall-to-wall vanity, and intricate backsplash to add depth and character to the contemporary space.

The kids' bath has become more functional then previous, a floating vanity with plenty of storage will be much appreciated by our clients two children. An encolsed shower, with a niche makes a great addition too. We are so happy that our clients finally have their dream home, and that we had the privilege of bringing it to life.

“We found Bill's team from May Construction to be professional and pleasant to work with. From the start to the end of the building, they communciated clearly with us on our house remodel. They were experienced and able to answer any questions that we had. This was extremely helpful as we are first-time homeowners. The remodel of the house went smoothly, and we felt we were in good hands throughout the process.
Their work was of great quality, standard, and the overall experience working with them was very positive.”
